About Mr. Hickerson

Scott Hickerson joined Shuttleworth Williams, PLLC in 2008 and focuses his practice in the area of civil litigation and has experience with both the defense and plaintiff’s bars. Mr. Hickerson is a member of the American Bar Association, Memphis Bar Association, and Tennessee Association for Justice.

Mr. Hickerson was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended the University at Tennessee at Knoxville where he was heavily involved in both academic and extracurricular organizations, holding numerous offices and being inducted into both the English and Sociological Honors Societies.

Upon graduating from the University of Tennessee, Mr. Hickerson returned to Memphis to attend law school at the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Hickerson participated in various legal competitions including the Freshman and Advanced Moot Court Competitions as well as the Advanced Mock Trial competition, wherein he was a semi-finalist. Mr. Hickerson was also elected to serve in various leadership roles within the Student Bar Association at the University of Memphis including serving as the President of the student body his final year.
Over the years, Mr. Hickerson has been the recipient of numerous awards for his service and leadership including the Balfour Leadership Award, Clark M. Roberts Memorial Scholarship for Service, Dean's Distinguished Service Award, and the Professor Walton W. Garrett Scholarship.
