About Ms. Hickerson

Amy Hickerson is admitted and licensed to practice in both the federal and state courts of Tennessee.

Ms. Hickerson graduated from Furman University in 2003 with a Bachelor in political science. Thereafter, she enrolled in the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. During law school, Ms. Hickerson was a staff member and Associate Editor on the Law Review, was active in moot court and mock trial competitions, and served as one of her class’s three Bar Governors for the Student Bar Association. In 2007, Ms. Hickerson graduated cum laude from law school and was recognized as a Who’s Who Among American Law Students.

Focusing her practice on civil litigation, Ms. Hickerson has experience handling matters for both plaintiffs and defendants and had the privilege of working as a Judicial Law Clerk for Magistrate Judge Diane K. Vescovo of the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.

In addition to practicing law, Ms. Hickerson works as an adjunct professor of legal writing and research for the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. She is also a provisional member of the Junior League of Memphis and has participated in various community projects through her work in the League.
